Okay so I thought it was only fitting that I started off with the first horror film I ever watched (as far as I know anyway) Thirteen Ghosts. I think I was 5(ish) when I first saw this movie.

It is about Arthur a single father of two, Kristy and Bobby, who gains his uncle Cyrus' home, fortune, and collection after he dies. When Arthur and his family go to this home they uncover Cyrus' horrific collection of angry ghosts as well as the truth behind what the home was built for.

I used to love this movie. Like a lot. After years of being a horror movie enthusiast (of which I still am) I now realize it wasn't the best movie in the world. It was a good plot and I do still really like it (though I find it quite sentimental). I don't think it is as good as some of the other movies I've seen. My favorite thing about the movie is the backstories of the spirits (which you can find on YouTube ) and I think this was on the Special Features section of the DVD. But they are really interesting.

IMDb has the rating 5.5/10 and I think that's fairly accurate. I would probably give it between a 6 and 7 because it was my first and at one point my favorite horror movie. It is pretty good though and I don't think it's scary (someone not as into horror may feel differently).
