The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

This review is on the wonderful series by Cassandra Clare The Mortal Instruments. It is a six-book series. It begins following Clary Fray as she works to discover herself after meeting mysterious "Shadowhunter" Jace Wayland and her mother is kidnapped. She and her best friend Simon Lewis join forces with Shadowhunters Jace Wayland, Isabelle Lightwood, and Alec Lightwood as well as the High Warlock of Brooklyn Magnus Bane and werewolves backing their Alpha Luke. Clary and the others work through many books to find Jocelyn Fray and defeat evil Shadowhunters Valentine and (later on) Jonathan.
The books in this series are:
City of Bones
City of Ashes
City of Glass
City of Fallen Angels
City of Lost Souls
City of Heavenly Fire

I did a review on the movie of the first book but I haven't done a review on the entire series yet. I absolutely love this series. It is so captivating. The world that Cassandra Clare created captured my attention from the first chapter of City of Bones. When I read the last book I could barely put it down. I cried many times and I have not been able to pick it up since finishing it (Post Traumatic Book Disorder) but it was so amazing that I am definitely going to re-read the ENTIRE series (I've read the other books over already but I'd like to go through the entire series without really any stops). It is a series that allows you to get to know the characters and allows you to become a part of the world. If you haven't read this series yet I definitely hope that you decide to pick up these books.
