Looking For Alaska

Hello, lovely readers!
I've just finished reading Looking for Alaska by the wonderful
author known as John Green (woo-hoo!).

"Before. Miles “Pudge” Halter is done with his safe life at home. His whole life has been one big non-event, and his obsession with famous last words has only made him crave “the Great Perhaps” even more (Francois Rabelais, poet). He heads off to the sometimes crazy and anything-but-boring world of Culver Creek Boarding School, and his life becomes the opposite of safe. Because down the hall is Alaska Young. The gorgeous, clever, funny, sexy, self-destructive, screwed up, and utterly fascinating Alaska Young. She is an event unto herself. She pulls Pudge into her world, launches him into the Great Perhaps, and steals his heart. Then. . . .

After. Nothing is ever the same."

I really enjoyed this book. I love John Green's writing in particular due to the depth of it all. He's descriptive and provides a lot of depth. His books always have me thinking about things. It's pretty exciting for me.
I know a lot of people find this as their favorite John Green novel however I do have to say my favorite is still Paper Towns. Don't get me wrong, I love this novel--almost as much--but there is just something about the Paper Towns that I like more, not sure what it is.
Anyway I would definitely suggest reading this. It's quite a short novel and I got it from Target for around $6 (paperback).

If you would like to go buy it (which you should) you can get it online here or here or maybe even buy the special 10th anniversary edition here. You can also go check out author John Green's website here
